Operating the Fox Folder
The WPS Fox Folder comes out of the box a little stiff due to the sturdy construction of the folding mechanism to prevent accidental closure when the blade is deployed. Please push the button on the side past the first click point, then release the button once you feel the blade move and this should allow the folder to close. With a little bit of practice, you will find that the operation becomes much smoother over time.
Closing / Folding the blade
Having a little trouble closing the knife? The button on the non-clip side of the knife has to be pushed hard enough to pass a clicking point, which then disengages the locking mechanism. With a few simple steps, closing the knife should become easier and more fluent over time:
- Press button (with force) past click point
- Blade lock disengages
- Release button
- Collapse blade
Please advise, the safety switch on the clip side of the knife is only able to shift if the blade is open / deployed. This feature helps ensure the blade shouldn't accidentally close while using the knife.
